Rebooting the CHIME Server

From time to time, the CHIME Server may require a manual reboot. The process is simple and can be completed in just a few steps.


Before you begin:
The CHIME Server is typically located in a designated server room or technical room, and should be labeled “CHIME” or “CHIME Server.”

To reboot the CHIME Server:

  1. Press and hold the blue power button on the server for approximately 5 seconds, until the system powers off.

  2. Wait 30 seconds to allow the server to fully shut down.

  3. Press the blue power button once (no need to hold it) to power the server back on.


Important:
The reboot process will take several minutes, during which all CHIME services will be temporarily unavailable. We recommend performing this procedure after hours or during a time when there are no patients or minimal activity in the clinic.
